Municipality empowering Grade 11’s
RUSTENBURG HERALD – RUSTENBURG – The Moses Kotane Local Municipality (MKLM), in partnership with the Department of Education and various private stakeholders - Sun City Resort, Siyanda Bakgatla Mines, Northam Zondereinde, Pilanesberg Platinum, and Anglo American Mine – Amandebelt - successfully held a third annual career exhibition.
More than 4300 local Grade 11 learners attended the expo at Sun City.

My name is Martin van der Schyff and I am a Grade 9 learner from Hoërskool Rustenburg. Based on my academic achievements, I have been invited by Travel and Sport to join the 9th Annual Academic Achievers exclusive tour to the USA in 2024. This tour not only includes educational lectures at universities such as the very famous Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Yale, and Harvard, but also a full day at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).
