Police Minister must account for 158 stolen firearms and chaos at firearms registry

RUSTENBURG HERALD - RUSTENBURG - After more than three years of uncertainty, it is clear that the controversial firearm ownership issue in South Africa is far from over. The DA will write to the parliamentary portfolio committee on police to request an urgent summons of the Minister of Police, Bheki Cele, as well as the National Police Commissioner, General Khehla Sitole, regarding the 158 firearms that were stolen from the evidence store at the Norwood police station in Johannesburg. One of these stolen firearms was used to kill a police officer during a shoot-out with suspects.

It's as easy as 1, 2, 3.. Submit your exam number via SMS/USSD code and get your results on Friday, January 21, 2022 from 06:00

Matrics, the time has come to keep those exam numbers handy to get your results! On Friday January 21, the matric class of 2021 will receive their National Senior Certificate edamination results. All students will be able to access their grade 12 results from 06:00, or collect results from their school from 08:00, except in the Western Cape where results will only be available after 16:00 on the day. IEB (Independent Examinations Board) matrics would have already had access to matric results from Wednesday January 19.

Here’s how to get your results as soon as possible

Before you get started, note that you may only submit your exam number via one single cellphone number to receive results via this service, as per the Department of Education’s guidelines. This service only applies to the Department of Education’s National Senior Certificate examinations, and not IEB results. 

1. Get your exam number and smartphone!

You will only be able to gain access to your results by means of your exam number.

2. SMS

SMS your exam number to 35658 after which you will receive reminders and USSD instructions to follow in order to gain access to your results after 06:00 (or 16:00 for students in the Western Cape) on Friday January 21, 2022. SMSes are charged at R1,50 each. Free SMSes do not apply.

3. USSD code
