Klerksdorp Record, Klerksdorp - The Klerksdorp Marathon is taking place on February 11 and it is an official qualifier for the Comrades and Two Oceans marathons.

The start and finish will be at Hoërskool Wesvalia. The 42.2 km event will set off at 06:00 (entry is R200), 21.1 km at 06:00 (entry is R160) and 10 km race at 06:30 (entry is R90). Late entries are R250 for the 42.2 race, R200 for the 21.1 km and R140 for the 10 km race.

A fun run over 5 km will take place at 06:30 (entry is R60; late entry is R100). Entries will close on February 6. Late entries and registrations will be handled at the venue on Saturday 17:00 till 18:30 and Sunday from 05:00.

No temporary ASA licence is required for the 5 km race. The race cut off will be at 12:00. Wheelchairs will be allowed to take part.

All the races will have electronic timing and the first 200 early entries will receive free unique socks. All finishers will receive medals and R30 000 in cash prizes can be won.
