Amogelang Tatai competed on the island of Reunion last week and broke a record that was set in 2006. He competed at the Ocean Indien International meeting and became the first South African junior in history to break 8 minutes over 3 000 metres. He ran the race in 7.57:33. Tatai finished matric at KHS in 2024 and is studying sport sciences at the NWU in Potchefstroom.
