Klerksdorp Rekord, Orkney - Die NW Duathlon kampioenskap is op Saterdag 12 April in Orkney gehou.

Duathlon is ‘n driebeen hardloop-siklus-hardloop-uithouvermoë-byeenkoms, met verskillende afstande vir verskillende ouderdomsgroepkategorieë. 

Verskeie atlete van Klerksdorp het hul weg na die podium in die verskillende kategorieë gevind.

Klerksdorp Record, Klerksdorp - The Two Oceans Ultra Marathon, affectionately known as “The most beautiful race”, took place in Cape Town with several Klerksdorp runners participating.

The ultramarathon covers 56km which includes the scenic Chapmans Peak Drive. 14 000 athletes from across the country as well as overseas entered and competed in the race. 

This year, once again, saw a record number of entries for the four different races totalling 32 000 athletes occupying Cape Town. Klerksdorp Marathon Club had 27 athletes who took part in the Ultra Marathon which took place on Saturday April 5. 

Palesa Lehasa from Khuma is proud of her medal she received after completing the Two Oceans 56 km marathon. “I am still on cloud nine after the surprise congratulatory celebration party my team and colleagues at Khuma Transnet Community Centre threw for me! Completing the marathon was an incredible achievement, and their recognition and support mean the world to me.’’ She finished the marathon in a time of 5hours and 11minutes, bagging a bronze medal. 

Klerksdorp Rekord, Klerksdorp - Die grootste armdruk-klub in die provinsie is reg hier in Klerksdorp en spog met uitstekende resultate na die SA kampioenskap die afgelope naweek.

Vier van Kraken se lede het deelgeneem. Elkeen moes druk met beide linker- en regterarms. Die Kraken-klub is ‘n baie jong klub en dit is die eerste keer dat hulle aan die nasionale kampioenskap deelgeneem het.
