Klerksdorp Rekord, Klerksdorp - Albei Klerksdorp-skole is steeds op koers in die Noordvaal-liga se plaatafdeling na oorwinnings die afgelope naweek op die rugbyveld.
Hoërskool Wesvalia is nog onoorwonne in die liga, met KHS wat een wedstryd verloor het. Wesvalia het al drie ligawedstryde agter die rug met KHS wat nog moet inhaal nadat hulle ‘n Classic Clash teen Lichtenburg gespeel het wat nie deel is van die ligabepalings nie. Dié wedstryd sal na die wintervakansie gespeel word.
New champ at bowling club
Klerksdorp Record, Klerksdorp - Klerksdorp Bowls Club crowned its new Novice Champion during the past week’s 2025 Novices Championships.
All together 24 novices participated in the tournament with Sue-Ann Payne winning the gold medal.
The final was contested between Sue-Ann and Ronel Mitchell. Ronel joined KBC only four months ago and played her way into the final by beating Sue-Ann’s husband, Gerrit, in the semi-final. Sue-Ann reached the final by outwitting Felecity du Toit in the other semi-final.
Sue-Ann played and won six games to be crowned the 2025 Champion. She will be invited to represent KBC in the Northwest Novice Champs-of-Champs tournament.
Medal haul at karate championships
Klerksdorp Record, Stilfontein - Athletes from SKISA Stilfontein gave excellent performances at the prestigious International Kanazawa Karate Championships held in Durban last month.
This traditional karate tournament boasts with a total entries of 600 participants, four international countries competed and entries were received from all nine provinces. After an electrifying display of skill, dedication, and sportsmanship by the SKISA Stilfontein athletes, the team made their mark, securing an impressive haul of medals across various disciplines.

Klerksdorp Rekord, Klerksdorp - KHS kan weer kop oplig na die naweek se sege teen Hoërskool Lichtenburg in hul FNB Classic Clash wedstryd.
Dit was ‘n taai wedstryd met baie druk op die tuisspan na hul nederlaag teen Hoërskool Wesvalia vroeër die maand.
Medal haul at NW karate championships
Klerksdorp Record, Rustenburg - The Martial Arts SA provincial championships were held from May 17-18 and Ryu Kyu Goju Karate in Klerksdorp sent four students to compete.
The karatekas brought home 19 medals, placing the club sixth on the Kihapp rankings out of 19 clubs that attended the tournament. Sensei Nathen Olivier, competing in Division Black Belt 16-30, returned home as the NW Kata Champion, NW Weapon Kata Champion and NW Point Sparing Champion.
