NOORDWESTER – LICHTENBURG - The Lichtenburg SAPS, Youth Desk, CPF and the Spiritual Crime Prevention together with various religious faith groups recently convened for a mass prayer for Lichtenburg as a whole in unity. 

This auspicious event was graced by Brigadier Monate from Provincial Pro-Active Policing and her members, and the Ngaka Modiri Molema District representative Colonel Dube. We were also supported by our partnership stakeholders the NPA, Thusanang Trauma Centre, New Beginnings Support Group, Retlakgona Supportive Group and the Department of Health.

The programme was directed by the Junior Management Core chairperson Sgt Diphoko and Spiritual Crime Prevention Member Reverend Mogorosi. 
Colonel Buhlungu, a representative of the Provincial Visible Policing, emphasised the importance of preventing and reporting GBV. 
She also urged church leaders and community members to raise awareness about Gender Based Violence and Femicide whenever possible. Furthermore, she explained that they promote GBV awareness in Lichtenburg because it is one of the top 30 stations in the country for GBVF cases.
