Three robbers arrested following a shoot-out
STELLALANDR-TAUNG: Five armed men wearing balaclavas, robbed a supermarket in Veertien village in Taung on Thursday 21 March 2024 of an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes.
Taung police were summoned to a robbery in progress at the supermarket.
End the stereotypes of Down syndrome
STELLALANDER-VRYBURG: World Down syndrome day is annually commemorated on 21 March.
The theme for this year is “End the Stereotypes”, and calls for community members to treat people with Down syndrome just like any other human being. Often they are treated like children and community members underestimate and exclude them.
Infant found abandoned in mall
An infant, approximately 03 months old, was found abandoned in the restrooms of Mompati Mall in Vryburg. The Huhudi police were notified on Friday, 15 March 2024, of a female infant that was found crying in the restrooms.
R50 000 reward for information
STELLALANDER-VRYBURG: North West Provincial Organised Crime Unit is searching for, Pedro Francisco Cossa (42), who was allegedly involved in the murder of Stephen Moagi (42).
Reports indicated that Moagi was driving his vehicle in the early hours of Wednesday, April 19 2017, traveling from work to home between Sun City and Thekwane, outside Rustenburg.
