RUSTENBURG HERALD - RUSTENBURG - Well-known Rustenburg businesswoman and pharmacist - Mariska Kruger is one of Rustenburg's latest aspiring celebrities after she had been selected as a a finalist in the Mrs Africa Classic competition.
In her own words Mariska describes the experience as follows: "As finalists of the competition we are encouraged to make a difference in our respective communities and to support local charity organisations. The Mrs Africa Pageant supports the African Queen Foundation in Africa."

"The African Queen foundation is a non-profit organisation that distributes washable, reusable, feminine sanitary wear to underprivileged girls and women to charity organisations in South Africa as well as in Africa. The prestigious final pageant week and gala event is set to take place from 20 to 23 March 2024 at the ACPP Hall in Proclamation Hill, Pretoria. Although I am a mother, a businesswoman, a business owner and member of several women's empowerment organisations, I have decided to take part in the Mrs Africa Classic competition to get out of my comfort zone, to do more for my community and to use motivational public speaking about the difference we all can make. It is an empowering journey to embark on and I pride myself in showcasing the "real" African woman to the world. I am looking forward to a beautiful journey ahead filled with self-discovery, growth and self-love."
Mariska will be hosting several events to promote the competition and women empowerment in particular and calls on supporters to follow her on FB @elitemsuniversalpetiesa23 or IG @mariskalapetite. With the honour of being a finalist comes the responsibilities of marketing, sponsorship and fundraising, of which there are different options.
