RUSTENBURG HERALD - MANTSERRE – Two toddlers were found dead in a vehicle that was awaiting repairs in Mantserre Village this past weekend.
The police in Mogwase have opened two inquest cases following the death of the two minor children on Sunday, 25 January. According to information received from Rustenburg police spokesperson, W/O Ofentse Mokgadi, the deceased, aged four and three respectively, were discovered inside a Mercedes-Benz motor vehicle that was not in use and awaiting repairs.
The children were pronounced dead at approximately 17:00. No visible injuries were observed on their bodies at the scene.
A third child, aged two, survived the incident and was taken to a local hospital for medical attention.
Police investigations are trying to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the incident. Further details will be communicated in due course.
