RUSTENBURG HERALD - SANDFONTEIN - Minister of Electricity and Energy, Dr Kgosientsho Ramokgopa, accompanied by the Premier of the North West Province, Lazarus Kagiso Mokgosi, the MEC for COGTA, Gaoage Molapisi, as well as the BPDM and MKLM Mayors and Bakgatla Ba Kgafela Kgosi Nyalala Pilane, recently embarked on a ministerial Electricity and Energy visit to Sandfontein as part of the Accelerated Load Reduction Eradication Programme.
This visit, according to a statement by MKLM Communications Unit, forms part of government’s ongoing efforts to address widespread electricity tariffs and load reduction challenges that continue to affect communities. It also supports the broader vision of developing the Bakgatla Smart City, an initiative that will require sustainable and reliable electrification.
