STELLALANDER-VRYBURG: A new leadership team was inaugurated at the tri-annual elective conference and 24th anniversary celebration of the Mahikeng Ministers Fellowship (MMF), held recently at the Mocoseng Sundown Resort.
The newly elected committee has been tasked with intensifying membership renewal and recruitment, laying the foundation for the establishment of District and Provincial structures that will ultimately form the National Ministers Fellowship (NMF). Re-elected for a third term as Chairperson, Pastor Dr. Moss Tlalang emphasized the importance of a constitutional review process, which will be spearheaded by newly formed working committees.
Manhunt launched after police officer’s vehicle torched
STELLALANDER-TAUNG: Police in Taung have launched a manhunt after a police officer’s private vehicle, a Toyota RunX, was allegedly torched in the early hours of Thursday morning, 20 February 2025, at his residence in Ditshilong village, Taung.
Reports suggest that a 41-year-old Sergeant and his family were asleep when they were woken by the sound of his vehicle’s alarm. The officer went outside to investigate but tragically discovered his vehicle engulfed in flames.
Life imprisonment for man who murdered his uncle
STELLALANDER-TAUNG: Retshepoane Gladwin Kepi (22), from Manokwane village, was sentenced to life imprisonment by the Taung Regional Court for the murder of his 68-year-old paternal uncle, Marongoa Victor Kepi.
Kepi was convicted of one count of murder following the brutal killing that took place at the deceased’s home in Maphoitsile village on 28 January 2024. According to the details presented in court, Kepi, along with two friends, visited his uncle’s house under the pretext that the deceased had agreed to lend him a car.
