RUSTENBURG HERALD - RUSTENBURG - The beautiful Berlina Lekgethwane, who represented the province proudly at the recent Mrs South Africa pageant, shone brightly in the competition the past weekend.
The grand finale of the pageant took place on Friday (17 November). Palesa Matjekane (35) from Bryanston was crowned as the new Mrs South Africa at the Theatre of Marcellus in Emperors Palace.

Hlengiwe Sabela, 39, from Durban was the first runner-up, with Léchar Knezovich, 32, from Midrand the second runner-up.
Berlina's hard work, dedication and her passion to assist people to transform their lives saw her scoop two memorable awards in the contest - the Women Empowerment award, as well as the Mrs Personality Award.
"The biggest milestone for me is the birth of the Berlina Lekgethwane Foundation. With this charity organisation I whish to empower people through education, as well as mentoring them towards positive sustainable development," says Berlina.
