NOORDWESTER – BIESIESVLEI - Sophie Gadifele Mosing (34) was sentenced to 12 years imprisonment by the Lichtenburg Regional Court. Four years of sentence was suspended for five years on condition that she does not commit a similar offence during suspension. Mosing was found guilty of the murder of 27-year-old Lele Andries Mogwase, who was her boyfriend. Mosing was also declared unfit to possess a firearm according to Section 103 (1)(a) of Firearm Control Act, Act 60 of 2000.

NOORDWESTER – LICHTENBURG - The Provincial Commissioner of Northern Cape, Lieutenant General K Otola, recently presided over the passing out parade at SAPS Academy Mankwe in North West.        
A total of 286 newly trained police constables, of which 215 were females, stood on parade at Mankwe Academy in the North West to begin their journey in service of the people of South Africa.

NOORDWESTER – MMABATHO - Morongwa Trading CC, represented by its sole director, Ntombizodwa Faith Losaba (56), and company accountant/bookkeeper, Johannes Maphake (48), appeared in the Mmabatho Magistrates’ Court facing three counts of fraud each. The pair was arrested by the Hawks’ Serious Commercial Crime Investigation unit.
 Investigations revealed that Morongwa Trading CC was registered for Company Income Tax (CIT) and Value Added Tax (VAT).
