Kumba closes Thabazimbi mine

BONUS – RUSTENBURG – Kumba Iron Ore Limited (Kumba) announced last week that it has started a consultation process in terms of section 189 of the Labour Relations Act, through its subsidiary Sishen Iron Ore Company (Pty) Ltd, as part of closure procedures at its Thabazimbi mine in Limpopo.

Hotel robbery leads to arrests

BONUS – RUSTENBURG – The South African Police Service (SAPS) in Phokeng managed to arrest suspects at around 13:50 on Tuesday, 8 July, at a local hotel on the R565 to Sun City.

The arrest was made in conjunction with the Technical Response Team and the Royal Bafokeng Security.
